Sr Data Engineer - Oracle DB, Python, ETL Tool - Irving/Tampa

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust data pipelines and ETL workflows to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse or data lake.

• Work extensively with Oracle Database : writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and PL/SQL scripts.

• Build Python-based data processing solutions for automation, transformation, and quality checks.

• Develop and maintain ETL jobs using any modern ETL tool (e.g., Informatica, Talend, ADF, Pentaho, DataStage, etc.).

• Ensure high data quality, integrity, and governance through automated validation and auditing.

• Partner with business analysts, data scientists, and application developers to understand data needs and implement effective data solutions.

• Troubleshoot data issues and provide root cause analysis and fixes.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Warehousing.

• Deep expertise with Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning).

• Strong hands-on experience in Python for scripting and data engineering tasks.

• Experience with at least one enterprise-grade ETL tool (e.g., Informatica, Talend, Azure Data Factory, etc.).

• Proficient in data modeling concepts and best practices (star/snowflake schema, normalization).

• Solid understanding of data warehouse and data lake architectures.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
