Job Summary
Identifies ingenious ways to organize and enrich data with end users of OEC’s RepairLogic and RepairDeck’s software solutions in mind. Creates meaning out of procedural data and drives data integration and data integrity processes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Owns and leads data integration projects by creating and governing the blueprint that determines what and how data makes it way from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to RepairLogic end users.
2. Owns and leads the decision-making process around the organization of procedure data as the principal subject matter expert on OEM Data and Repair Plans.
3. Meets with Development and Product teams to plan, prioritize, and execute projects. Identifies, tracks, and resolves, risks, dependencies, assumptions, and constraints. Supports product development, quality assurance, user acceptance testing activities, and reviews test plans, scenarios, and cases as needed.
4. Assesses, researches, analyzes, and documents stakeholder needs, using the recommended or selecting the appropriate information gathering and data modelling technique to elicit requirements.
5. Communicates and builds rapport with team members, stakeholders, and business unit partners through all project phases.
6. Supports the Data Solutions leadership team with strategizing and developing new data opportunities & integration projects.
7. Aids in defining, planning, and executing the Repair Intelligence roadmap. Takes ownership of the implementation and success of RI project objectives with high quality, within budget, and on time.
8. Coordinates with cross functional leaders to identify individual opportunities to grow and coach team members. Trains and mentors Repair Data Specialists to meet their potential with a focus on Data Analysis and Subject Matter Expertise.
9. Owns and implements plans to uphold Data Integrity, including data accuracy and reliability.
10. Builds and maintains a repository of reusable system documentation.
11. Participates in wider workload planning for ART and collision as a whole to meet targets and milestones.
Education
A high school degree diploma (or equivalent GED) is required.
Experience
At least 5 years of experience working in data integration, with a background that includes a combination of data and mechanical or related automotive experience.
Must also be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:
- Detail-oriented and able to work with complex data sets.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and can collaboratively work with internal and external stakeholders to drive work forward.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical abilities in order to quickly find patterns, outliers and quality control issues using data analysis and management tools.
- Can apply principles of analytical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Excellent technical skills and proficiency with data handling tools such as PowerBI, SQL, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with technical teams and stay informed on the latest technology in the industry.
