Sr Design Engineer - Millworks

Role Context:

We are looking for a Senior Designer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in designing furniture and millwork using AutoCAD and other relevant design tools. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of furniture detailing, materials, and joints, as well as architectural drawings. The candidate will also be responsible for guiding junior team members on technical aspects and ensuring the highest quality of design output.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed furniture and millwork drawings using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
• Collaborate on design and detailing related to building products and furniture projects.
• Work on architectural drawings with precision and a focus on quality and standards.
• Implement Value Engineering principles and ensure alignment with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for efficient production.
• Provide technical guidance to junior designers and team members to improve skillsets and ensure design excellence.
• Plan and schedule project tasks while participating in negotiations and resolving conflicts when needed.
• Communicate effectively with an inter-cultural team, ensuring smooth collaboration and assertive communication.

Skills and competencies:

· Expertise in AutoCAD and experience with multi-CAD environments.

· Strong background in furniture design, including material selection, joint detailing, and millwork.

· Knowledge of architectural drawings and their application in furniture and building product design.

· Proficiency in Advance Quality Tools and Value Engineering concepts.

· Strong skills in Project Planning, Scheduling, and Negotiation.

· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work as a team player and maintain assertive communication.

· Capable of handling Conflict Management and Risk Management effectively.

Experience & Qualification

• Education: Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
• Experience: 4 plus years in furniture and kitchen cabinets.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
