Sr. DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on AWS, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines. You will play a key role in automating our development and deployment processes, improving system reliability, and ensuring the scalability of our infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS.
• Define and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (must have expertise).
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, including Rancher as a Kubernetes management platform.
• Implement and maintain Datadog-based monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Collaborate with development and DEV/QA teams to support application deployment and lifecycle management.
• Automate recurring tasks and operational processes using Python and Bash scripts.
• Ensure high availability and performance of RDS/Aurora databases.
• Apply best practices in system security and hardening (security knowledge is a plus).
• Maintain and optimize Linux-based systems for production environments.
• Perform system troubleshooting and problem-solving across platforms and application domains.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, with a strong focus on cloud, native environments.
• Expertise in AWS services, including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, RDS/Aurora, Cloud, front, EKS (must), lambda function, etc.
• Extensive experience with Terraform, including module development and remote state management.
• Strong experience with Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Rancher or similar K8s management tools.
• Proficient in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Scripting proficiency in Python and Bash.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog.

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of security best practices, compliance standards, and tools (e.g., vulnerability scanning, secrets management).
• Experience with data workflows in AWS (e.g., Glue, Redshift, S3-based data lakes)
• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
• Experience with multi-region or hybrid cloud deployments.
