Collect and document safety platform workflow and business requirements, translating them into user stories and technical requirements for safety event capture, triage, and risk detection capabilities

Support discovery activities, including workflow shadowing, interviews with patient safety leaders, nursing informatics teams, and frontline clinical staff, and documentation of variability in safety event reporting, triage processes, and follow-up workflows

Define detailed key results to support pod objectives; perform analyses as needed for OKR measurement, particularly before data pipelines have been set up
- Contribute to safety platform vendor analysis (e.g., Vigilanz, RL Solutions, RLDatix, or emerging AI-enabled safety tools), including comparative assessments of functionality, integration feasibility, and workflow fit

Support product owner in day-to-day tasks, particularly around sprint management
- Assist with material collation and analysis in preparation for product demos, quarterly business reviews, and other report-outs for the pod

Work with Product Owner to develop Objectives and Key Results; define measurement strategies for key results (e.g., how to collect data, source system identification) and set measurement methodology

Work with other Data Engineers or other pod members to create data pipelines and analyses to measure key results automatically
- Develop data dictionaries, baseline metric packs, and site-level variation analyses focused on safety event capture rates, harm classification, near-miss reporting, and follow-up completion timelines

Assist in drafting the Safety Platform Discovery Report, value logic framework, and pilot recommendation packages

Cross-functional Collaboration

Work with experience / UX designer to codify business processes and identify areas for improvement
- Work with experience / UX designer to reflect user acceptance criteria in user stories
- Engage patient safety directors, quality improvement leaders, nursing informatics teams, frontline clinical staff, vendor partners, and facility executives to ensure broad stakeholder input

Partner with Finance, Data & Reporting, and Corporate Development teams to align economic and operational analyses with decision-quality standards.

Work with adoption teams and process/experience designer to translate user feedback into feature specifications
- Work with change management personnel to define change management strategies; work with adoption and scaling teams to help coordinate scaling
Analysis and Reporting-
Collect, analyze, and interpret safety platform performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities in safety event capture and risk detection

Quantify correlations between safety workflow variation (e.g., delayed event reporting, incomplete follow-up) and downstream patient harm or safety culture impacts.

Assist with material collation and analysis in preparation for product demos, quarterly business reviews, and other report-outs for the pod

Use statistical tools and data visualization techniques to communicate insights effectively to stakeholders

Create comprehensive documentation and presentation materials (including process flows, product feature details, and user guides or explanations)
- Collect, analyze, and interpret product performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement

Develop dashboards, reports, and presentation materials for leadership updates, QBR sessions, and steering committees

Maintain a library of safety platform metrics, harm reduction ROI models, and vendor performance insights to support scaling decisions
What qualifications you will need:

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Business, or related field - Required

Master's degree in a relevant field - Preferred

5+ years’ experience in healthcare analytics, digital health, or clinical operations support, with specific exposure to patient safety systems, quality improvement programs, or healthcare safety event reporting platforms - Required

Experience in patient safety quality improvement, safety event analysis, safety culture assessment, or ROI/business case modeling in healthcare - Preferred

Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation) and ability to collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams - Preferred
Licenses, Certifications, & Training:

Certification in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or related fields - Preferred

Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies - Preferred

Training or experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, or clinical informatics - Preferred
