Purpose of the role

This is a pivotal time to be part of General Mills’ Supply Chain and ITQ Solutions Delivery organization, as we lead a global supply chain transformation across our North America, International, and PET businesses through modern platforms like SAP S/4, Coupa, Tripple-Point, Palantir and other legacy custom application, in the Sourcing and Procurement area.

As Sr. D&T Manager – Supply Chain, you will drive the Run, Improve, and Transform agenda across planning, logistics execution, and data-driven operations for GMI’s global supply chain. You will lead day-to-day delivery, capability advancement, and transformation of platforms including SAP S/4, Coupa, Tripple-Point, Palantir, DataOps, and AI enablement, while managing a large cross-techno-functional team across North America and India GIC.

This role would require Functional expertise along Sourcing and Procurement function, experience of cutting-edge data driven interventions in Sourcing, understanding of Technology and integration and strategic business partnership to deliver scalable impact. The Senior Manager would collaborate with senior global leaders and play a pivotal role in shaping the digital supply chain of the future.

In this role, the key stakeholders would be senior leaders across Supply Chain, Digital Platform, and Data & Analytics, and work closely with our India GIC leadership. The Senior Manager will bring strong domain expertise, lead cross-functional agile teams, act as a technical SME, and serve as a strategic delivery leader across the enterprise.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

As the Sr. D&T Manager – Supply Chain – Sourcing, the position would own end-to-end solution delivery, operations, and transformation, from India office, and deliver solutions for Global stakeholders. The role would involve delivering central leadership driving value realization, operational maturity, and technology innovation across the GMI Supply Chain ecosystem.
Run, Improve and Transform
o Run, Improve and transformation along key platforms: Partner with global stakeholders along systems for Primary and Secondary procurement (S4 HANA, Coupa), Commodities and hedging operations (Tripple point, FARS, UGS etc), Data driven interventions – Should cost modelling, contract lifecycle management etc.
o Deliver capabilities aligned with our Run–Improve–Transform operating model, accelerating backlog execution and platform stability.
o Lead global enhancements and intelligent automation across planning and execution value streams.
o Support development & deployment of AI/ML use cases along Sourcing and Procurement space aligned with Global team
o Establish Mature governance practices for Delivery management
o Establish and modernize support & control standards for the Run and Improve Teams across supply chain
Team & Operational Ownership
o Lead a global team, across India GIC and global markets supporting supply chain portfolio
o Provide strategic direction, coaching, and talent development, fostering strong leadership and capability growth
o Champion the India GIC as a strategic hub for transformation, platform delivery, and process innovation.
o Ensure operational excellence through measurable KPIs, SLAs, and observability metrics for platforms and support models.
Supply Chain Domain Enablement
o Act as a domain authority and technical SME along the Supply Chain Space
o Support integration of SAP, Coupa, Palantir, and other tools to enable seamless, automated workflows.
Strategic ownership and stakeholder alignment
o Collaborate with senior stakeholders across Sourcing & Procurement, Platform, and Data & Analytics teams to align technology with strategic goals.
o Drive platform strategy, value roadmaps, and delivery plans that tie directly to business growth, cost efficiency, and service performance.
o Align with organizational Technology Strategy and perform stewardship towards bringing in new age cutting edge solution towards business benefit delivery – Ex. Deliver innovative use case using Generative AI solutions (Glean etc.)
o Influence senior stakeholders and participate in forums/councils to prioritize capability investment
o Represent D&T in global supply chain transformation initiatives, bringing outside-in perspective

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field; Master’s degree / MBA preferred, with a focus on Operations, Analytics, or Technology Management
15 - 20 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Technology, preferably within FMCG or related industries
Proven track record of leading and delivering Sourcing and Procurement Solutions, along core and intelligent systems (data platforms and analytics) along varied operating models
Sound understanding and experience (of one or multiple areas) along functional aspect of Sourcing and Procurements – involving core operations (S2P, Primary and Secondary materials procurement, Commodities and hedging) and data driven operations (Should cost modelling, spend analysis and management, contract life cycle management and intelligence) etc.
Exposure of varied technology platforms and architecture (of one or multiple areas), with sound understanding of integrations methodologies (API based, Database integrations, etc) and understanding of data platforms; Understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL) and strong ability to interpret data and drive decision-making through visualization
Leadership exposure delivering continuous improvement and innovation along with regular operational topics;
Experience managing large, cross-functional, and geographically dispersed teams (20+ members), including sub teams, architects, analysts, delivery leads and business counter parts, across levels
Experience of IT planning and managing budget (OPEX/CAPEX), vendor budgets, and resource planning to ensure cost-effective execution

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Global Leadership & Governance
Experience working in multinational, cross-functional teams across both developed and emerging markets • Familiarity with global operating models, regional governance, and integrated supply networks (e.g., regional hubs feeding global nodes)
Experience supporting Supply Chain solutions functions through reporting, or metric automation.
Proven ability to navigate global supply chain governance structures, stakeholder councils, and cross-border transformations
Certifications & Industry Expertise
Certifications such as PMP, APICS/CSCP, or Lean Six Sigma preferred
Prior experience with Tier-1 consulting firms or supply chain advisory partners is a plus
Recognized for leading continuous improvement or cost-to-serve optimization initiatives
Domain & Platform Experience
FMCG industry experience preferred, with exposure to multi-region operations (North America, Europe, Asia)
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (MM), Sourcing and Procurement platforms like Coupa, Data driven decision making like Palantir; Familiarity with AI/ML use cases, and intelligent automation along Supply Chain
Working knowledge of cloud-native platforms like GCP, Azure, or Snowflake and associated AI/ML tools
