Position Summary:

The Senior D2C Ecommerce Manager will be responsible for driving growth and performance across direct-to-consumer channels, with focus on Shopify-based storefronts and integrated digital marketing campaigns. This role will manage and optimize ecommerce operations, developing conversation strategies, and oversee the full customer journey. The incumbent will bring expertise in running large-scale, multi-platform campaigns while leveraging data-driven insights to maximize ROI and brand impact. The incumbent will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align creative, merchandising, and technology initiatives while continually testing, analyzing, and refining strategies to deliver sustained revenue growth, exceptional customer experiences, and a deeper understanding of the purchase journey.

Specific Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Direction:

  • Build strategic plans to support brand priorities, financial targets, and customer growth.
  • Devise processes with all stakeholders to balance financial objectives with brand storytelling.
  • Execute the strategic plan and analysis and communication of the ongoing success metrics.

D2C P&L Ownership:

  • Align with all partners on targets to avoid marketplace conflicts.
  • Assist in building yearly P&L with finance and leadership.
  • Provide updates to leadership on financial performance, risk mitigation, and new business opportunities.

Forecasts, KPI’s, & Site Data:

  • Set monthly and yearly sales targets using channel, customer, and campaign analysis.
  • Provide monthly, quarterly, and yearly reporting tailored to multiple stakeholders.

    Key Promotional & Merchandising Strategies:
  • Manage the execution of dot com promotional calendar in conjunction with brand and marketing partners.
  • Build and define aggressive product launch and promo strategies for key events and present to leadership.
  • Deliver competitive insights and best practices from plumbing and ecommerce industries.

Manage D2C Growth:

  • Lead strategy and optimization of Shopify storefronts to drive D2C sales and improve site performance.
  • Manage multi-platform digital campaigns (Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Email, etc) to maximize customer acquisition and retention.
  • Develop, track, and optimize paid media budgets, ensuring efficient spending allocation and strong ROI.
  • Oversee campaign performance and apply data-driven improvements.
  • Collaborate with creative and product teams to align campaigns with brand and seasonal initiatives.
  • Implement A/B testing and CRO strategies to enhance conversion rates and average order value.
  • Monitor and optimize the customer journey to ensure a seamless digital brand experience.
  • Stay current with ecommerce and digital marketing trends, introducing innovative strategies and emerging platforms to maintain a competitive edge.

Manage D2C Catalog, Site Experience, & Customer Experience:

  • Improve site experience and conversion through advanced web metrics analysis and competitive review.
  • Drive customer reviews and other user-generated content.
  • Act on feedback from multiple sources (customer, shipping, returns, etc.) to ensure a positive experience.
  • Manage site content to enhance conversion and increase SEO relevancy.

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or in a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in digital marketing and .com strategy.
  • In-depth knowledge of current digital marketing technologies and techniques.
  • Experience developing e-Commerce strategy.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • KPI driven, specifically in the path to purchase funnel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration capabilities.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and presentation abilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of SEO and SEM activities
  • Understanding of key customer delivery logistics and importance of product reviews.
  • B2C selling experience.
  • Direct experience in A/B testing.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in the order to fulfillment process.
  • Experience with user interfaces including QA and usability testing.
  • Proven ability to drive profitability through promotional and merchandising strategies.
