Sr. Electrical Engineer

Role Purpose

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all electrical works for high-rise towers and villa construction projects. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Coordination

• Manage and supervise electrical installation works for towers and villa developments.

• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs, and ensure execution as per approved design.

• Coordinate with civil, architectural, and MEP teams to avoid clashes and delays.

• Monitor site progress and ensure adherence to project timelines.

2. Design & Technical Review

• Review electrical design, load calculations, shop drawings, and method statements.

• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and international standards.

• Provide technical solutions for site challenges and design modifications.

3. Site Supervision & Quality Control

• Inspect electrical installations including cable trays, conduits, wiring, panels, lighting, earthing, and ELV systems.

• Ensure materials and workmanship meet quality and project requirements.

• Conduct testing & commissioning activities and prepare related documentation.

4. Vendor & Contractor Management

• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants for smooth project execution. • Evaluate contractor performance and ensure compliance with contractual scope.

• Verify invoices and work progress for payment certification.

5. Health, Safety & Compliance

• Ensure implementation of HSE policies and safe work practices at site.

• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure electrical safety measures are followed.

• Maintain documentation related to inspections, permits, and compliance.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare progress reports, RFIs, inspection requests, and as-built drawings.

• Maintain project records, material submittals, and approvals.

• Support project close-out documentation and handover process.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

• Experience: 8–10 years in construction projects (mandatory towers & villas experience)

• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, lighting, power distribution, earthing, fire alarm, and ELV systems

• Experience in testing & commissioning of electrical systems

• Familiarity with local authority regulations and international standards (IEC/BS/NFPA)

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office

Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
