- Supervising Construction:Overseeing and managing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
- Technical Expertise:Providing technical guidance and expertise to resolve construction-related challenges and ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, survey reports, and other technical documentation.
- Quality and Safety:Enforcing quality control measures, health, safety, and environmental standards, and implementing safety protocols on site.
- Resource Management:Planning and allocating resources, materials, and equipment to optimize project efficiency.
- Budget Management:Monitoring project costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and adhering to budget constraints.
- Reporting and Communication:Providing regular project updates, milestone reports, and potential risk assessments to the project manager and key stakeholders.
- Coordination:Liaising with various stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, and other relevant parties, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field is typically required.
- Several years of experience in site engineering or construction management, often 5-10 years or more, is essential.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and direct project execution.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Experience with construction management software and tools is often preferred.
