Job Specific Responsibilities:

Supervise the assigned staff by providing work direction, reviewing their activities, and ensuring efficient and satisfactory performance, in accordance with management's established standards for the position.

Support in activities related to the operation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of control circuits and equipment for power stations and desalination plants, as received through CMMMS.

Ensure all tasks are performed according to established standards, procedures, and ADDC Safety Rules.

Supervise the annual testing and calibration of equipment, documenting test results during extended plant shutdowns to maintain accurate records for future management use.

Develop daily maintenance schedules for supervised staff, assigning duties based on urgency and directing efforts to meet objectives, while referring major issues to the Supervisor for necessary action.

Provide technical guidance to subordinates on the operation and installation of new equipment upon receiving supplier catalogues.

Ensure timely and appropriate responses to emergency situations, investigating the causes of breakdowns, faults, and emergencies to minimize recurrence and address common issues.

Participate in the commissioning of new plants, offering technical input during the contract process and coordinating site activities to ensure contractor performance aligns with ADDC standards.

Prepare daily and monthly reports detailing work completed, including types of tasks, locations, emergency situations, and manpower and materials used, and present these to the Section Manager for feedback.

Ensure all duties are carried out in compliance with required standards, procedures, and safety regulations.

Adhere to reasonable OSH instructions and safe working practices, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.

Familiarize oneself with emergency and evacuation procedures, ensuring no willful or reckless endangerment of anyone’s health and safety.

Assist in the preparation of risk assessments and report any OSH hazards, incidents, or issues.
Essential Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
3 years of relevant working experience
