Sr. Engineer, Maintenance - AD (UAE National)

Job Specific Responsibilities:

• Supervise the assigned staff by providing work direction, reviewing their activities, and ensuring efficient and satisfactory performance, in accordance with management's established standards for the position.
• Support in activities related to the operation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of control circuits and equipment for power stations and desalination plants, as received through CMMMS.
• Ensure all tasks are performed according to established standards, procedures, and ADDC Safety Rules.
• Supervise the annual testing and calibration of equipment, documenting test results during extended plant shutdowns to maintain accurate records for future management use.
• Develop daily maintenance schedules for supervised staff, assigning duties based on urgency and directing efforts to meet objectives, while referring major issues to the Supervisor for necessary action.
• Provide technical guidance to subordinates on the operation and installation of new equipment upon receiving supplier catalogues.
• Ensure timely and appropriate responses to emergency situations, investigating the causes of breakdowns, faults, and emergencies to minimize recurrence and address common issues.
• Participate in the commissioning of new plants, offering technical input during the contract process and coordinating site activities to ensure contractor performance aligns with ADDC standards.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports detailing work completed, including types of tasks, locations, emergency situations, and manpower and materials used, and present these to the Section Manager for feedback.
• Ensure all duties are carried out in compliance with required standards, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Adhere to reasonable OSH instructions and safe working practices, utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment and safety systems.
• Familiarize oneself with emergency and evacuation procedures, ensuring no willful or reckless endangerment of anyone’s health and safety.
• Assist in the preparation of risk assessments and report any OSH hazards, incidents, or issues.

Essential Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

3 years of relevant working experience
