Position Title: Sr. Estimator

Position Overview:

Loloah Alshaya General Trading & Contracting Company is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Sr. Estimator to lead the preparation of accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for construction and MEP projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical abilities, extensive knowledge of construction materials and market pricing, and the capability to identify and source new project opportunities through all available tendering and project sourcing channels in Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs to prepare accurate project cost estimates.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs for civil, architectural, and MEP works.
  • Analyze subcontractor and supplier quotations and negotiate pricing when required.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams during tender preparation.
  • Prepare commercial and technical proposals in compliance with tender requirements.
  • Evaluate project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Maintain updated records of material costs, labor rates, and market pricing trends.
  • Assist management in bid strategy, budgeting, and project cost planning.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
  • Identify and source new projects and tender opportunities through all available channels in Kuwait including CAPT, Kuwait Municipality, private tenders, online tender portals, consultants, developers, and subcontractor networks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders to identify upcoming opportunities.
  • Ensure timely submission of tender documents and supporting schedules.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in construction estimation and tendering.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing structures in Kuwait.
  • Proven experience in sourcing and tracking projects from public and private sector opportunities in Kuwait.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and contract documents accurately.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Familiarity with Kuwait tendering procedures and authority regulations.
  • Kuwait residency with transferable visa preferred.
  • Kuwait Engineering Society active membership is required.

Interview Process:

  • Managerial Round – Final evaluation of commercial understanding, leadership ability, networking capabilities, and project acquisition experience.

Pay: KD750.000 - KD1,250.000 per month
