Sr. Events and Engagement Manager

Overview

The Senior Manager, Events & Engagement is responsible for designing, planning, and executing high-impact events that support ODP Business Solutions’ sales strategy, culture, and performance. This role serves as the owner for high-profile events, including programs such as the annual Sales Kickoff and the annual Champions Circle incentive trip, as well as other corporate and field-facing engagements. Additional events could include vendor meetings, large team meetings, and executive meetings. Domestic travel is required and the Sr. Manager will be on-site for all large events.


The Sr. Manager partners closely with Sales, Sales Operations, HR, Communications, and Executive Leadership to deliver seamless, engaging, and strategically aligned experiences that drive motivation, recognition, and business outcomes. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution and requires strong project management, vendor management, and stakeholder alignment skills.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Event Ownership:


    • Lead full lifecycle planning and execution of ODP’s two significant annual events: Annual Sales Kickoff (SKO) & Champions Circle incentive trip (domestic/international, week-long experience)
    • Lead planning and execution of other important events, such as vendor meetings, large team meetings, and executive meetings
    • Develop agendas, themes, content flow, and attendee experience for these events and meetings
    • Support budget planning and management in partnership with VP; oversee vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, and expense tracking
    • Manage communications, registration experience, and onsite engagement
    • Measure attendee satisfaction and incorporate feedback into continuous improvement
  • Event Operations & Logistics Execution:


    • Manage all logistics, including travel, accommodations, activities, production, and onsite execution for the large events
    • Manage all aspects of event logistics including registration, transportation, venue coordination, food & beverage, A/V, and production
    • Oversee vendor coordination, third-party agencies, and hospitality partners
    • Ensure flawless execution from planning through onsite delivery and post-event wrap-up
    • Ensure safety is a top priority for all events, and ODP’s 5C Culture is integrated into all event planning.
  • Strategic Event Planning & Program Leadership:


    • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of all major events for the distribution org, ensuring alignment with business priorities
    • Design event experiences that reinforce sales culture, drive engagement, and support performance outcomes
    • Partner with Leadership to define event goals, content strategy, and success metrics
  • Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:


    • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Sales Ops, HR, Marketing/Communications, Leadership, and external partners
    • Align messaging, branding, and communications across all events
    • Provide regular updates to leadership on event planning status, risks, and outcomes

Education and Experience:


  • Level of Formal Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Area of Study: Business, hospitality, sales, event planning, or a relevant field
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 8
  • Type of Experience:

    • 8 years of experience in event management, hospitality, or corporate event planning
    • Experience managing large-scale, high-visibility events (e.g., national meetings, incentive trips, conferences)
    • Experience working cross-functionally with senior leaders
    • Experience supporting sales organizations or commercial teams
  • Skills & Abilities:

    • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
    • Strong vendor negotiation and contract management capabilities
    • Ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across all levels
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute under tight deadlines
    • High attention to detail with a focus on delivering seamless experiences
  • Personal Attributes & Other/Preferred:


    • Experience in fast-paced, high-visibility roles with multiple concurrent priorities
    • Willingness and ability to travel (significant travel required (estimated 30%+)
    • Ability to work non-traditional hours during event execution periods

Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule: The salary range for this role is $90,000/year to $120,000/year, however all state and local minimum wages will be complied with, resulting in a possible adjustment to the salary range displayed.
