Sr. Information Technology Specialist/SAP S4 Finance Functional Expert

Overview:

SENIOR INFORMATION TECHNOLGY SPECIALIST/SAP S4 FINANCE FUNCTIONAL EXPERT (PM220)

Bowhead is seeking a Senior Information Technology Specialist/SAP S4 Finance Functional Expert to provide consultative support to the Navy ERP program at the Washington Navy Yard. The candidate will provide finance S/4 HANA subject matter expertise in one of the following work stream:

S/4 Hire to Retire

Responsibilities:

Essential duties include:

Provide subject matter expertise and inputs to the Government leads in all phases of the program lifecycle.
Provide subject matter expertise for ERP+ Solutions team as S4 expert for S4 Hire to Retire.
Assist in end-to-end process discussions.
Review customer requirements and determine fit to standard to SAP S4.
Lead SAP S4 Hire to Retire discussions across numerous Navy commands and stakeholders.
Assist the Government in conducting analysis of performance enhancements, business drivers, costs and schedule, with resolution of integration issues.
Assist the Government with the preparation of documents and briefs that will be utilized during the governance board meetings to facilitate Government decisions regarding proposed changes in terms of cost, schedule, technical impact, and business impact.
Review and update required operations plans and documentation.
Provide assessment and recommendations for the Government, including likely impacts to system(s), configuration(s), sustainment, and user experience enhancements.
Monitor and evaluate results of existing plans and recommend adjustments as necessary. Keep leadership apprised of changes and implement updates to those plans as necessary.
Provide expertise necessary to prepare, revise, and review briefing material.
Identify risks associated with schedule dependencies and clearly communicate these risks to project team leadership.
Assist the Government in monitoring key business and technical metrics and building report metrics to establish trends.
Assist in the development of business cases for programs while considering the functional relationships of operational (functional) sponsors and the need for integrating operational sponsor deliverables with Program Office products.
Participate in an advisory role in Program Office planning meetings and strategy sessions; provide documentation as tasked. Provide strategic planning, analysis and advisory assistance to the organization in decision-making processes.
Support functional and technical governance activities necessary to validate System Integrator designs, ensure alignment with SAP leading practices and DoD standards, and maintain architectural and audit readiness integrity across ERP+ modernization increments and S/4HANA transformation phases.
Support ERP+ / S/4HANA modernization activities by providing functional and technical advisory assistance, including: supporting analysis of emerging and evolving requirements across Enterprise Structure, Organization Structure, Finance, Intra-Governmental transactions, G-Invoicing, Supply Chain, Logistics, Human Capital Management, Data, Integration, Reporting and related domains.
Assist with decomposition and refinement of requirements into functional and technical solution concepts.

Qualifications:

Minimum must have a BA/BS/MS degree in Finance/Accounting, IT or Project Management or related fields.
Ten or more (10+) years of SAP Financials, including funds management, FI/CO, cash management, for public sector experience.
Ten or more (10+) years of Federal SAP procurement experience; Supply.
Knowledge of SAP PPS functionality.
Deep knowledge of federal procurement requirements - even outside of SAP.(Incremental funding, Modifications, CLIN/SUBCLIN structures, pricing structures, smart numbering logic, etc).
Ten or more (10+) years Navy or Federal experience.
Fifteen or more (15+) years of SAP FICO experience.
Expert in Hire to Retire work stream.
Ability to interact and negotiate with senior stakeholders on deliverables in support of project completion.
Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Excellent verbal and written skills.
Excellent critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Experience applying data management, data analysis, and data visualization.
Experience in developing and delivering briefings to all levels of Government leadership

Target salary range is $220K to $250K depending upon experience.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
