Designation: Sr. Manager /DGM Trucking
Role Purpose:
To lead and optimize our US-based trucking and logistics operations, ensuring timely container movement, cost efficiency, and flawless execution. This is a remote-first role requiring hands-on management of our self-owned fleet, vendor relationships, and a remote team to achieve operational excellence and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of our trucking fleet, including remote dispatch, driver coordination, and maintenance scheduling.
- Ensure the timely pick-up and delivery of containers with accurate customs documentation across US territories.
- Plan, schedule, and track all containers, fleet movements, and out-of-town deliveries.
- Oversee fleet upkeep, maintenance, and compliance with US DOT regulations.
- Manage key operational tasks including auction deliveries, riggers, and Amazon ATS bookings.
- Control the logistics P&L; verify invoices, manage budgets, and negotiate with vendors for cost-effective solutions.
- Resolve operational issues promptly and ensure full compliance with all US transportation laws and safety standards.
- Lead, train, and evaluate a remote operations team to meet strict KPIs for cost, timeliness, and accuracy.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6-10 years of proven, hands-on experience in trucking and logistics operations, with specific expertise in US territory management.
- Direct experience in self-trucking/fleet management and remote-first operations is preferred.
- Expert knowledge of US port operations, drayage, container tracking, and DOT regulations.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and remote-team management skills.
- Presentable, detail-oriented, and capable of performing under pressure.
