Sr. Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee and execute mechanical site works on a daily basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for engineering coordination, project documentation, site supervision, design verification, and ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and applicable codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and maintain project documentation, records, material submittals, RFIs, and RFQs.
• Review and verify designs and specifications, and promptly notify the Project Manager of any discrepancies.
• Coordinate with designers, consultants, clients, and other project stakeholders.
• Attend project meetings and prepare Minutes of Meeting (MOM).
• Attend site inspections and coordinate with consultants and authorities as required.
• Supervise mechanical works on site, including manpower allocation and productivity monitoring.
• Coordinate with suppliers for obtaining quotations, technical submissions, and drawing reviews.
• Ensure works are executed in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings, and relevant international standards.
• Perform engineering calculations and provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle.

The candidate must possess sound knowledge and practical experience in:

• Duct Sizing Calculations
• External Static Pressure (ESP) Calculations
• Fan Selection and Fan Sizing Calculations
• Hydraulic Calculations
• Pipe Sizing Calculations
• International Plumbing Code (IPC)
• ASHRAE Standards
• NFPA Standards
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Word and Excel

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of UAE experience in an Electromechanical (MEP) Company.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage site activities independently.
• Fluency in English and Hindi.
• Valid UAE Driving License (Mandatory).

• Salary: AED 10,000 – 14,000 per month (based on qualifications and experience)
