Sr Mechanical Engineer- Planning & Billing

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Mechanical Engineer – Planning & Billing to manage and coordinate project planning, billing processes, and reconciliation for structural fabrication and erection works. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of structural steel works, fabrication and erection processes, and hands-on experience in billing and reconciliation in EPC or industrial construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and monitor project schedules using tools like MS Project / Primavera.
• Develop detailed work plans and manpower requirements for structural fabrication and erection.
• Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
• Prepare and verify client billing and subcontractor billing related to structural fabrication and erection.
• Ensure quantity take-offs are aligned with drawings, site measurements, and contract terms.
• Prepare RA (Running Account) Bills, final bills, and certification of subcontractor bills.
• Maintain records of free-issue material (FIM) and contractor-supplied steel.
• Perform monthly steel reconciliation for different categories (e.g., plates, beams, angles, channels, etc.).
• Ensure proper documentation for steel receipts, consumption, wastage, and scrap.
• Maintain updated records of BOQ, variations, change orders, and deviations.
• Provide accurate MIS reports related to billing, reconciliation, and progress.
• Prepare and submit project progress reports, billing status, and material reconciliation reports to management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
• In-depth knowledge of structural fabrication and erection processes.
• Expertise in billing (client & subcontractor) as per industry norms.
• Proven ability in structural steel reconciliation and material management.
• Good understanding of engineering drawings, BOQ, and contract documents.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Familiarity with planning tools like Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
