Sr. Mortgage Business Analyst - LoanServ de-customization project
A Sr. Mortgage Servicing System Business Analyst / Consultant is needed for a project to convert from a highly customized version of the LoanServ Mortgage Servicing System to the standard SaaS version of Sagent’s LoanServ Mortgage servicing system.
Location: While this is a remote role, travel to Oklahoma City, OK, will be required once per month for a week.
Candidate must have extensive experience with mortgage servicing systems in completing current state assessments, outlining future-state system requirements, completing required gap analysis, documenting future-state process and technical design, defining testing scenarios, handling alpha and beta testing, drafting procedure updates, documenting future-state process ownership recommendation, presenting future state process ownership recommendation, and providing status updates.
Responsibilities:
- Current-State Assessment – Develop a comprehensive understanding of the existing mortgage servicing system custom loan onboarding process, including workflows, data inputs, controls, and system touchpoints; document current-state processing, roles, and dependencies; and identify risks, constraints, and operational considerations that may impact migration.
- Future-State Solution Design & Specifications – Define and document the future-state onboarding process aligned to system-defined capabilities, including end-to-end technical process mapping, data mappings between source systems and Sagent-defined fields, and full solution specifications covering functional requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and design decisions.
- Testing & Validation – Define testing scenarios and success criteria based on approved future-state design; support testing of the developed solution to validate alignment with documented process and data mappings; and identify, document, and recommend remediation for any defects, gaps, or deviations.
- Project Management & Execution Oversight – Serve as project manager for the loan onboarding migration; establish and maintain project plans, timelines, dependencies, and task ownership; coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to drive progress and resolve issues; and monitor and escalate risks as appropriate.
- Future-State Ownership Recommendation – Evaluate post-migration ownership options for the loan onboarding process, assess risks, control considerations, and required skillsets associated with each ownership model, and deliver a clear recommendation to senior leadership to support decision-making.
Required Experience & Technical Skills:
- 10+ years of Mortgage System Business Analysis and/or Mortgage System Business Systems Analysis experience, with major focus on the LoanServ mortgage servicing platforms. Having Sagent LoanServ experience is a plus.
- Expert-level functional knowledge of the Sagent LoanServ mortgage servicing system preferred, including loan boarding, servicing operations, data structures, batch processing, and system configuration.
- Demonstrated experience with the Sagent LoanServ platform preferred.
- Previous experience supporting or leading LoanServ SaaS migrations, upgrades, or modernization initiatives
- Extensive experience designing and documenting complex business and technical requirements for system conversions and data migration projects.
- Advanced SQL skills, including:
- Writing complex SQL queries for data analysis and validation.
- Designing SQL specifications for new data warehouse tables.
- Creating and validating data mappings and transformation logic.
- Supporting data reconciliation and testing activities.
- Strong experience with data mapping, data conversion, ETL concepts, and file layout design for enterprise system integrations.
- Experience documenting field-level transformation rules, business logic, source-to-target mappings, and technical specifications.
- Ability to analyze existing custom code, legacy batch processes, and data interfaces to design replacement solutions in a SaaS environment.
- Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), System Integration Testing (SIT), and data validation for enterprise implementations.
- Strong understanding of relational database concepts, data modeling, and data warehouse principles.
- Experience working closely with software development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience within mortgage servicing, banking, or financial services organizations.
- Experience with large-scale loan mortgage servicing system boarding implementations and servicing portfolio conversions.
- Knowledge of SaaS architecture and cloud-based enterprise application implementations.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration methods, including flat file processing, APIs, and automated data exchanges.
- Experience working within Agile, Scrum, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and regulatory requirements related to mortgage servicing.

Pay: $45.00 - $75.00 per hour
