SR. PRINCIPAL PETROLEUM ENGINEER

Primary Purpose Of The Job

A technical expert in drilling, completion and well integrity activities who will manage and analyse well integrity-related issues, perform risk assessment and root cause analysis and recommend remedial and preventative actions to mitigate the risk.

Also ensure the gas, water & CO2 wells are drilled and completed using accepted and advanced technology in a safe and effective manner, and in accordance with accepted industry standards (such as ANSI, API, BSi, etc.). Keep the Head of Well Operations and QatarEnergy Management fully apprised of the implementation and status of the on-going rig and rig-less activities.

Required Experience And Skills

At least 15 years of relevant working experiences as Petroleum Engineer (including well testing, well integrity, well intervention) with strong background in Drilling and well integrity aspects, involved in all aspects of well integrity of development wells.

Have good knowledge and experience related to rig and rig-less well intervention activities, extensive on-site experience and familiarity with rig equipment and operations, as well as rig-less equipment and operations such as coiled-tubing, mechanical wireline, electric wireline, etc.

Educational Qualifications

Minimum BS in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline from an accredited and recognized university supplemented with industry courses in drilling/completion and related subjects.
