Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Procurement Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement procurement strategy for electrical & switchgear packages.
- Prepare procurement schedules aligned with project execution plan.
- Coordinate with project, design, and planning teams to forecast material requirements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with project milestones and contractual timelines.
2. Switchgear Procurement & Technical Evaluation
- Handle procurement of:
- LV & MV Switchgear
- MDB, SMDB, DB Panels
- ATS, Synchronization Panels
- Capacitor Banks
- Control panels & automation panels
- Perform technical evaluation of vendors & suppliers.
- Ensure materials comply with:
- DEWA / SEWA / ADDC / TRANSCO approvals
- IEC standards
- Project specifications
- Consultant requirements
3. Vendor Management & Commercial Negotiation
- Identify and develop approved vendor database for electrical equipment.
- Conduct technical-commercial negotiations with manufacturers and suppliers.
- Ensure procurement at optimum cost without compromising quality.
- Manage supplier performance, delivery commitments, and compliance.
4. Cost Control & Budget Monitoring
- Monitor procurement budgets and ensure alignment with project BOQ and cost plans.
- Support value engineering initiatives for electrical systems.
- Track market trends for:
- Copper
- Switchgear components
- Electrical commodities
5. Material Submittals & Compliance
- Coordinate with design & QA/QC teams for:
- Technical submittals
- Sample approvals
- Material compliance documentation
- Ensure timely approval from:
- Consultants
- Clients
- Authorities
6. Logistics & Delivery Coordination
- Monitor manufacturing schedules and ensure timely delivery to site.
- Coordinate logistics for:
- Imported switchgear
- Local panel fabrication
- Critical long-lead items
- Ensure proper documentation:
- Delivery notes
- Packing lists
- Inspection reports
7. Contract & Documentation Management
- Prepare and review:
- Purchase orders
- Technical agreements
- Commercial terms
- Payment terms
- Ensure compliance with:
- Contractual obligations
- Supplier warranties
- Project specifications
8. Quality Assurance & Factory Inspections
- Coordinate factory inspections and FAT for switchgear.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Approved shop drawings
- Project quality standards
9. Coordination with Project Teams
- Work closely with:
- Project Managers
- Site Engineers
- Planning Department
- QA/QC
- Resolve procurement-related site issues.
10. Risk Management
- Identify procurement risks including:
- Long lead items
- Price fluctuations
- Vendor delays
- Implement mitigation strategies.
11. ERP & Reporting
- Maintain procurement data in ERP system.
- Prepare reports on:
- Procurement status
- Material tracking
- Cost variance
- Vendor performance

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
