Job Summary

Sr. Project Engineer (Estimation & Tendering) will be responsible for evaluating project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and supporting tendering activities for oil & gas infrastructure, with a focus on API 650 storage tanks. The role involves close coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Tender Review & Analysis
• Analyse tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings (P&ID, GAD) for API 650 tanks and related mechanical systems.
• Identify scope, risks, and opportunities in project bids.
• Cost Estimation
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracting for oil & gas projects, especially tank farms.
• software and spreadsheets to develop BOQs and cost breakdowns.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards (e.g., API 650, ASME, ASTM).
• Proposal Development
• Compile technical and commercial proposals in line with client requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of bids and support post-bid clarifications.
• Technical Support
• Assist in preliminary design and layout planning for tank systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to validate assumptions and quantities.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain estimation records, pricing databases, and cost histories.
• Prepare internal reports for management review and decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 6–10 years in cost estimation, preferably in oil & gas or EPC projects involving API 650 tanks.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Strong understanding of API 650, ASME codes, and oil & gas construction practices.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and estimation tools (e.g., MSP, Primavera).
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Pay: AED9,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
