Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Senior Project Manager role in Richmond, VA . Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage large-scale marine and heavy civil construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards.
  • Lead project teams in the execution of complex marine logistics operations, including barge coordination, marine equipment utilization, and coastal construction sequencing.
  • Manage all aspects of cast-in-place mass concrete operations, ensuring proper formwork, placement, curing, and quality control in accordance with project specifications.
  • Direct the construction and installation of cellular pile structures , sheet pile bulkheads, and other marine foundation systems.
  • Coordinate closely with VDOT (Virginia Department of Transportation) officials and inspectors to ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as project-specific requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
  • Prepare and review project documentation, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Foster collaboration between engineering, field, and management teams to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Mentor and develop junior project managers and field leaders to strengthen the organization’s project delivery capabilities.

Qualifications:

*Must have experience in Civil construction or Marine Construction.*
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5 + years of experience managing heavy civil or marine construction projects, with proven success in cast-in-place concrete, marine logistics, and pile structure work .
  • Demonstrated experience managing VDOT or DOT-regulated projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction scheduling (Primavera P6 or MS Project), estimating, and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and safety.
  • Proficiency with project management software and reporting tools.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
