Sr. Project Manager

Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of complex technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals. This role oversees cross functional teams, often including technical, business, and vendor partners, to drive project execution from initial concept through deployment and transition to operations. The Senior Project Manager proactively manages risks, issues, and dependencies; maintains transparent communication with stakeholders; and ensures all project documentation, reporting, and performance metrics are accurate and current. The Senior Project Manager may also mentor junior project managers and contribute to standards, tools, and best practices across the PMO.

  • Lead end to end delivery of technical projects, ensuring alignment to scope, schedule, budget, and organizational standards.
  • Develop and maintain core project documentation, including charters, schedules, risk/issue logs, communication plans, and status reporting, to ensure transparency and informed decision making.
  • Facilitate project planning, team meetings, stakeholder updates, and cross functional collaboration to drive momentum and resolve issues quickly.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners, technology teams, vendors, and credit union stakeholders to support delivery of key initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate project portfolio data, track deliverables and benefits, and contribute to PMO best practices while supporting and mentoring junior PMs.

Relationship building is your strength, you partner effectively with credit union stakeholders, internal sponsors, and vendor teams to advance key initiatives that are critical in a member centric financial services organization.
  • You are comfortable navigating financial-services controls and understand how to manage delivery in environments with compliance, audit, and security expectations.
  • With experience across the SDLC and familiarity with Agile methods and delivery toolsets, you bridge the gap between technical and business needs while ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational standards common in financial services environments.
  • You take pride in being thorough, consistent, and disciplined, keeping plans, risks, and portfolio data current, while contributing to continuous improvement within the PMO.
Qualifications
  • At least 5 years of experience delivering enterprise-wide projects in a fast-paced IT organization, coordinating both technical and business teams.
  • At least 4 years of experience in a client facing role focused on service delivery
  • At least 8 years of experience in program or project management
  • PMP and/or CSM certification
  • Background in banking or financial services
  • Experience in both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods
Compensation and Benefits
  • Target salary range for this position will be $125,000 to $140,000 depending on qualifications.
  • In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus eligibility with a target payout of 10%, based on company and individual performance
