Job Title: Purchase Executive – Sheet Metal Fabrication

Location: Narhe- Dhayari, Pune.41

Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive will oversee the procurement of raw materials, components, tools, and services required for sheet metal fabrication manufacturing. The role involves vendor management, cost optimization, and ensuring timely delivery of quality materials to support production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Management:
• Identify and source raw materials like steel, aluminum, and other sheet metals.
• Procure fabrication tools, consumables, and spare parts.
• Manage purchase orders, track delivery schedules, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Vendor Development and Management:
• Identify and onboard reliable suppliers.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost efficiency.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships for long-term partnerships.
• Cost Optimization:
• Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Conduct price benchmarking and ensure competitive pricing for all materials and services.
• Inventory Management:
• Monitor stock levels of raw materials and consumables to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with the stores and production team for inventory planning and reordering.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure procured materials meet specified quality standards and certifications.
• Liaise with the quality control team for inspections and vendor audits.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
• Prepare periodic reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and vendor evaluations.
• Coordination:
• Collaborate with the design, production, and logistics teams for seamless operations.
• Resolve supply chain issues promptly to minimize production downtime.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3–8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in sheet metal fabrication or manufacturing.
• Technical Skills:
• Knowledge of sheet metal grades, cutting, welding, and fabrication processes.
• Proficiency in ERP software and MS Office tools.
• Familiarity with sourcing and inventory management techniques.
• Key Competencies:
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on cost-saving strategies.
• Others:
• Understanding of industry regulations and standards related to sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Work Environment:

• The role involves frequent interaction with suppliers and the production team.
• May require occasional travel for vendor visits, audits, or trade exhibitions.
