Sr. Shopify Full Stack Developer

Position Overview
We are looking for a Shopify Full Stack Developer to lead the end-to-end development, customization, and optimization of e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with a strong focus on Shopify’s ecosystem. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver who can transform business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring scalable, high-performing, and user-friendly online stores.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development & Customization

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Shopify themes and applications from concept to launch.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using Liquid, HTML, CSS (SASS), and JavaScript.
• Integrate third-party APIs, apps, and services (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, marketing tools).
• Work across the front-end (UI/UX) and back-end (server logic, APIs, databases) to deliver seamless functionality.

Performance & Optimization

• Optimize website speed, responsiveness, and performance to improve user experience and conversion rates.
• Conduct audits to identify performance bottlenecks and implement solutions.
• Implement SEO best practices for improved search visibility and organic traffic.

Collaboration & Project Management

• Partner with designers, project managers, and clients to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle: planning, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Use version control tools (Git/GitHub) to manage collaborative development.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across front-end and back-end systems.

E-commerce & Shopify Ecosystem Expertise

• Maintain expert knowledge of Shopify’s platform, including APIs (REST & GraphQL) and the Shopify App Store.
• Stay updated with the latest Shopify features, tools, and industry best practices.
• Provide technical guidance on e-commerce development, architecture, and process improvements.

Qualifications

Experience

• 5+ years of full stack development experience, with at least 2+ years focused on Shopify.
• Proven track record of custom Shopify theme and/or app development.
• Strong portfolio showcasing Shopify projects.

Technical Skills

• Shopify Tech Stack: Expert in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
• Front-End Frameworks: Experience with React, Vue.js, or similar (preferred).
• Back-End Knowledge: Familiarity with Node.js or Ruby on Rails for custom apps.
• API Integration: Hands-on experience with Shopify APIs and third-party services.
• Version Control: Proficiency in Git/GitHub workflows.

Core Competencies

• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
