We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) specializing in AI-powered Robotic Process Automation (Intelligent Automation) to architect, develop, and scale next-generation automation solutions that combine the power of UiPath RPA with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI capabilities. This role goes beyond traditional rule-based automation — the ideal candidate will design cognitive, adaptive, and self-learning automation solutions that leverage AI/ML models, large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, and intelligent document processing to drive transformative operational outcomes across the enterprise. The Senior SDE will serve as a technical leader, innovation driver, and hands-on practitioner, bridging the gap between RPA engineering, data science, and enterprise AI strategy.
Architect, design, and deliver end-to-end Intelligent Automation (IA) solutions combining UiPath RPA workflows with AI/ML capabilities including NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics, and Generative AI (GenAI)
Build solutions leveraging UiPath Document Understanding for intelligent OCR, classification, extraction, and validation of structured and unstructured documents (invoices, contracts, forms, emails)
Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) such as OpenAI GPT, Azure OpenAI, or Google Gemini into automation workflows for natural language understanding, response generation, summarization, and decision support
RPA Platform Development & Architecture
Lead end-to-end automation lifecycle from process discovery, AI feasibility assessment, and solution design through development, testing, deployment, and hypercare
Architect scalable, reusable, and maintainable RPA solutions using UiPath Studio, REFramework, Orchestrator, Action Center, and custom activity libraries
Design and implement integrations between UiPath automations and enterprise platforms including Oracle EBS/Fusion, Salesforce, SAP, ServiceNow, REST/SOAP APIs, databases, and legacy systems
Manage UiPath Orchestrator environments across DEV, SIT, UAT, and Production including tenant configuration, queue management, robot provisioning, and licensing optimization
Define and implement MLOps practices for model versioning, monitoring, retraining triggers, and drift detection within the automation ecosystem
Integrate external AI services (Azure Cognitive Services, AWS Rekognition, Google Vision AI, Hugging Face models) into RPA workflows via API connectors
Technical Leadership & Governance
Mentor and upskill junior/mid-level RPA developers on AI integration techniques, prompt engineering, model consumption, and data literacy
Drive adoption of emerging UiPath platform capabilities (Autopilot, GenAI Activities, LLM connectors, Agentic Automation) and evaluate new AI tools for inclusion in the automation stack
Lead the RPA + AI CoE (Center of Excellence) governance model including pipeline prioritization, demand management, standards enforcement, and ROI tracking
Lead AI-augmented process discovery workshops using UiPath Process Mining, Task Mining, and SME interviews to identify, score, and prioritize automation opportunities
Develop business cases for Intelligent Automation initiatives quantifying FTE savings, cycle time reduction, error rate improvement, and AI-driven decision accuracy gains
Collaborate with enterprise architects, data engineers, security, and compliance teams to ensure AI + RPA solutions adhere to data privacy (GDPR, HIPAA), model governance, and ethical AI standards
Design comprehensive testing strategies for AI + RPA solutions covering unit, integration, regression, AI model accuracy validation, and UAT support using UiPath Test Suite
Define and monitor performance KPIs for intelligent automation including bot utilization, AI model accuracy, exception rate, straight-through processing (STP) rate, and realized ROI
3+ years of experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into automation solutions (NLP, OCR/IDP, computer vision, predictive models, or LLMs)
Deep expertise in UiPath Studio, Orchestrator, REFramework, AI Center, Document Understanding, Action Center, and UiPath Test Suite
Strong proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages: C#,
VB.NET, Python, or PowerShell
Solid understanding of ML model lifecycle management - training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and retraining
Strong knowledge of responsible AI principles, data privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA), and AI governance frameworks
Experience with Generative AI, prompt engineering, LangChain, RAG architectures, or fine-tuning open-source LLMs for enterprise use cases
Exposure to complementary automation/integration platforms: Power Automate, Boomi, Azure Logic Apps, APIGEE
Experience in high-compliance industries: financial services, insurance, healthcare, telecom, or government
Background in financial services, insurance, healthcare, telecom, or large enterprise environments with high-compliance requirements
Exposure to complementary automation and integration technologies (Boomi, Power Automate, APIGEE, Azure Logic Apps)
Experience implementing intelligent automation combining RPA with AI, NLP, OCR, and machine learning pipelines
