Sr. Structural Engineer

Roles and responsibilities:

• Lead the structural design and analysis of buildings and infrastructure projects.
• Perform load calculations and structural modeling using tools such as ETABS, STAAD Pro, and SAP2000.
• Ensure compliance with local and international codes (e.g., ACI, AISC).
• Review and approve structural drawings, material specifications, and design reports.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare project timelines, design schedules, and cost estimates for structural works.
• Supervise junior engineers and CAD technicians.
• Provide technical guidance during construction phases.
• Conduct site visits to inspect and ensure work aligns with design specifications.
• Resolve on-site structural challenges and recommend necessary design modifications.
• Oversee structural quality assurance and control procedures.
• Ensure safety regulations and engineering standards are upheld.
• Prepare detailed design documentation and calculation reports.
• Liaise with clients to understand project goals and expectations.
• Present structural design concepts and updates to clients and internal teams.
• Participate in design review meetings and technical discussions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in structural engineering in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and modeling software (e.g., ETABS, STAAD, SAP2000, Revit, AutoCAD).
• Strong knowledge of international design codes and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
