Sr.Structural Design Engineer

As a Senior Structural Design Engineer, you will serve as the technical lead for the design, analysis, and lifecycle management of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) infrastructure. You will be responsible for overseeing the structural integrity of complex gantries, high-mast poles, and specialized foundations. Beyond technical execution, you will mentor junior engineers, drive innovation in structural optimization, and ensure all deployments meet the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design and engineering of large-scale ITS structures (gantries, cantilever signs, and integrated poles), ensuring resilience against environmental stressors.
• Advanced Simulations: Oversee and validate complex static, dynamic, and fatigue analyses. Perform high-level simulations for wind-induced vibrations, seismic response, and vehicle impact scenarios.
• Foundation & Geotechnical Oversight: Direct soil-structure interaction (SSI) analyses and approve foundation designs for varied and challenging geological conditions.
• Standards & Compliance: Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for national and international codes (e.g., AASHTO, Eurocodes, AISC). Ensure all designs surpass safety and durability benchmarks.
• Process Optimization: Develop and implement standardized design templates, automated calculation tools, and simulation workflows to improve department efficiency and accuracy.
• Cross-Functional Strategy: Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to align structural designs with mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct final peer reviews of technical drawings, simulation reports, and specifications before submission to regulatory bodies.
• Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and professional development to junior and mid-level engineers.

Experience7–10+ years in structural design, with a proven track record in ITS, telecommunications, or heavy highway infrastructure.

Software MasteryExpert-level proficiency in STAAD.Pro, ANSYS, SAP2000, or Abaqus. Advanced skills in BIM (Revit) and CAD.
