Staff Accountant

Equity Solutions is a national appraisal management company operating in a fast-paced, high-volume financial environment. We manage thousands of transactions monthly, where precision, margin discipline, and accountability drive performance.

We are looking for a high-level Staff Accountant who takes ownership, protects margin like it’s their own, and thrives in a results-oriented culture.

This is not a maintenance accounting role — this is a performance role.

What You’ll Own

Financial Operations

• Manage general ledger, journal entries, and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure GAAP compliance and audit readiness

Accounts Payable & Vendor Oversight

• Oversee high-volume 1099 vendor payments
• Reconcile appraisal fees collected vs. appraiser compensation
• Identify pricing errors, fee leakage, and margin discrepancies

Accounts Receivable & Revenue Control

• Manage AR aging and collections tracking
• Monitor gross margin by client and product type
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition

Commission & Reporting Support

• Support multi-tiered commission calculations
• Reconcile production data to financial reports
• Deliver accurate reporting to leadership

Financial Analysis

• Analyze data using advanced Excel (PivotTables, XLOOKUP, complex formulas)
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-to-serve issues

Systems & Controls

• Maintain accounting records in QuickBooks Desktop
• Strengthen internal controls and process discipline
• Support internal and external audits

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong background across core accounting functions
• Audit experience preferred
• Expert-level QuickBooks Desktop proficiency
• Advanced Excel skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving ability
• Clear communicator who can challenge numbers when needed

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
