Staff Accountant

Position Summary

Anderson-Negele, a global leader in hygienic instrumentation and process measurement solutions, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and demonstrates strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and general ledger adjustments

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes

Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies

Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed

Assist with inventory accounting and cost analysis in a manufacturing environment

Prepare financial reports and assist with variance analysis

Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies

Assist with internal and external audits by preparing supporting documentation

Support tax reporting and regulatory filings as required

Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

1–3 years of accounting experience (manufacturing experience preferred)

CPA or CPA-eligible preferred

Skills & Competencies

Strong understanding of GAAP

Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with JDE preferred)

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Team-oriented with the ability to work cross-functionally

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cost accounting or inventory accounting

Experience in a global or multi-entity environment

Familiarity with internal controls and SOX compliance

Pay Range
