Staff Accountant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level Staff Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in tax, audit, accounting, and client service within a small firm setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of individual and business tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1120, 1065)
• Support compilation and financial statement preparation engagements
• Perform basic accounting and bookkeeping tasks
• Assist with government and nonprofit audits as needed
• Provide support to senior staff and partners on various projects
• Communicate with clients as needed to gather information

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or working toward completion)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Internship or prior experience in accounting or a CPA firm
• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Interest in pursuing CPA license
