Position Summary:

Burcham Companies is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with a few years of experience who is ready to take on more responsibility, contribute to the success of a growing organization, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes

· Prepare and post journal entries

· Perform bank and account reconciliations

· Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data

· Prepare and manage fixed asset schedules, notes payable/receivable, and accruals

· Support payroll interface processes and related reconciliations

· Assist with inventory controls and tracking across business units

· Perform general accounting activities across multiple entities

· Assist with accounts payable processing, including credit card entry and reconciliation

· Support retail and service operations with inventory management, scheduling, POS controls, and reporting

· Assist in preparing financial reports and statements

· Work with team members to identify and resolve discrepancies

· Support audits and provide documentation as needed

· Maintain organized financial records and documentation

Qualifications & Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in accounting principles.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall computer literacy
  • Working knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities
  • Customer-service mindset and team-oriented approach
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic organization
