Staff Accountant

JOB TITLE:

Staff Accountant

REPORTS TO:

Controller

JOB SUMMARY:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for helping with Payables Processing, AR, Job Cost, Inventory, Sales Tax and Asset Assistance. Other duties to be Determined

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY:

· File monthly sales tax reports in multiple jurisdictions

· File taxes for jobs in Wyoming and all paperwork required from Wyoming to finalize jobs with the state

· Audit support and internal control management

· Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions

· Accounts receivable invoicing

· Post cash receipts

· Other projects as needed

· Assist the department with any other tasks that may arise

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Associates’ Degree and 2-3 years’ experience preferred

· Advanced Excel skills including vlookup, pivot tables and complex formulas

· Self-Starter

· Analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to be flexible with the demands of the week

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in a team environment

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is performed indoors

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work performed often requires sitting or standing in front of a computer for extended periods of time.

Some light lifting of 30 pounds or less will be required

EXPECTED WORKING HOURS:

Typical working hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Overtime and weekend hours may be required.
