Position Overview
As our new Staff Accountant, you won’t just be crunching numbers—you’ll be the engine behind daily financial health. From mastering the month-end close to diving into revenue recognition for fast-paced eCommerce channels, your work will directly impact business growth. Working directly with the Controller and Assistant Controller, this role offers strong visibility, mentorship, and a clear path to full-time permanency.The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting core accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and contributing to process improvements across the finance function.
Responsibilities Of The Staff Accountant

Own the Ledger: Manage day-to-day accounting functions with accuracy, ensuring all accounts are properly maintained and balanced.

Master the Close: Execute and support smooth monthly and quarterly close processes.

Reconcile with Relevance: Complete monthly bank reconciliations and proactively investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Financial Storytelling: Prepare and analyze key financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss (P&L) statements.

eCommerce Accounting: Handle accurate revenue recognition and expense tracking for digital commerce channels.

Collaborate & Adapt: Partner closely with leadership on special projects and process improvement initiatives.
Required Experience/Skills For The Staff Accountant

Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.

Technical DNA: Strong foundational knowledge of GAAP principles.

Software Savvy: Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and hands-on experience with Sage 100.

Drive: Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a self-starter mentality.
Preferred Experience/Skills For The Staff Accountant

Experience with Power BI for data visualization is a major plus.

Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana.

Prior experience working with online retail or eCommerce revenue streams.
Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field is highly preferred.
