Los Angeles | On-Site | Accounting & Finance
Pay Range: $50,000-$70,000 Per Year. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.

The Staff Accountant will assist with day to day statutory accounting, accounts payable, compliance filings and finance duties.
Must be a strong team player with a friendly and personable demeanor and effective communication, and able to work well within a close-knit Accounting environment.
What you'll do as a Staff Accountant:
- Bank reconciliation
- Assist with insurance accounting including investments, reinsurance and compliance filings and quarterly/annual statement.
- Perform month end Accounts Payable closing procedures to ensure all transactions are complete
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Assist with 1099 filings to IRS
- Assist with other duties and any special projects as assigned
- Strong interpersonal skills to work collegially and effectively with other members of the team and should be able to communicate successfully with affiliate companies
- Works well under pressure, accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments.
Job Requirements
What are we looking for in our Staff Accountant:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
- 1+ years of general ledger reconciliation and accounting experience. Prior experience with medium volume Accounts Payable and Data Entry a plus
- Expert level of proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other financial reporting tools
- Detail oriented and well-organized
- Ability to work in an environment requiring multi-tasking abilities
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Full-time position, M – F , 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (Flexible)
