Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper

Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Staff Accountant/Bookkeeper with Quickbooks Online experience to join our firm. Candidate must have a strong Quickbooks Online experience and a good understanding of general ledger accounts posting in expense analysis. This individual will handle the day-to-day general posting and ensure compliance with the firm’s accounting procedures. This position will work under the direction of the firm’s CFO

Required Job Related Skills and Experience

Key Requirements

  • Manage and process day-to-day bookkeeping operations using Quickbooks Online and Clio
  • Maintain general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable posting
  • Reconcile and post monthly credit card transactions
  • Monitor client cost advances and reimbursements
  • Maintain organized financial records saved in shared drive by scanning, saving and filing of all invoices, payments, vendor files and other financial transactions.
  • Properly code and timely processing of all company transactions in QuickBooks Online and Clio
  • Handle processing of vendor invoices, cash receipts, payments, and all other financial transactions
  • Answer accounting inquiries regarding payments and invoices
  • Collect Form W-9 from new vendors
  • General ledger maintenance: reviewing for input accuracy and prepare monthly reports and journal entries as needed
  • Tracking and maintaining various spreadsheets with login information, recurring payments, bank account information, payment tracking, etc
  • Post daily cash receipts and trusts by client in Quickbooks & Clio while working closely with Billing personnel to ensure client payments are applied accurately and timely
  • Perform filing and general administrative duties as needed
  • Other duties that may be required by CFO/COO

Other Important Skills

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent organizing abilities
  • Good knowledge of MS Office, proficiency in excel is a plus
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated and good follow-through skills

Job Type: Full-time

Qualifications:

  • Strong Quickbooks knowledge and general ledger experience is required
  • Bookkeeping: 3 years (Required)
  • Bachelor's (Preferred)

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
