Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Project Accountant with experience in construction or trade services. This role focuses primarily on billing, accounts receivable, and job cost tracking for both new construction and service work.

This is an execution-focused role, ideal for someone who enjoys working with details, staying organized, and supporting day-to-day financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit invoices and pay applications for construction and service jobs
• Track job costs, progress billing, and work-in-progress (WIP)
• Coordinate with project managers and service team to confirm billing accuracy
• Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding invoices
• Assist with accounts payable and vendor invoice entry as needed
• Maintain accurate job files, billing records, and documentation
• Support month-end close by assisting with reconciliations and reports
• Perform basic data entry and general ledger support
• Provide occasional administrative support to office team as needed
• Certified Payroll

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (construction industry a plus)
• Familiarity with invoicing, AR/AP, and job costing
• Experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn

• Experience with construction billing or AIA pay applications
• Background in plumbing, HVAC, or trade services

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $50,000 – $55,000, based on experience
