Job Description

Job Overview:

The attorney in this position will serve in the Criminal Trial Division-Auto Fraud Task Force Theft team. The attorney, under the supervision of the First Assistant and Section Head, will assist providing legal services to the Michigan State Police auto theft teams.

Responsibilities and Duties:

The attorney’s duties will include research and analysis, review legislation pertinent to the work area, drafting of pleadings, legal opinions, memoranda, and correspondence, and assistance in preparation for administrative and court proceedings. This position will consist of litigating complex auto theft rings across the State of Michigan.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience

Attorney-Staff P15
No specific type or amount is required.

Attorney-Senior 16
Four years of post-bar admission legal experience.

Possession of a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited school of law.

Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar
