- Direct Patient Care: Assessing patients, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, providing basic care, and assisting with activities of daily living.
- Patient Education: Educating patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
- Collaboration: Working with doctors, other nurses, therapists, and technicians to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Emergency Response: Providing initial assessment and care in emergency situations.
- Medication Management: Administering medications safely and accurately, and monitoring patients for adverse reactions.
- Emotional Support: Providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
- Health Promotion: Promoting health and wellness through education and preventive care measures.
- Supervision: May supervise nursing assistants and other support staff.
- Maintenance: Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining patient records, including medical history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Assisting with Procedures: Assisting doctors and other healthcare professionals with procedures and tests.
