1. Patient Care Duties
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients under Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy systems.
- Monitor and record vital signs — temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
- Assist AYUSH doctors in clinical procedures and patient assessment.
- Administer medications, herbal decoctions, oils, or other prescribed treatments as directed.
- Maintain cleanliness, comfort, and safety of patients.
- Educate patients about AYUSH therapies, diet, and lifestyle modifications for holistic healing.
2. Support in AYUSH Treatments
- Assist in Panchakarma and other Ayurvedic therapies (like Abhyanga, Shirodhara, etc.).
- Prepare materials and equipment required for Naturopathy and Yoga treatments.
- Support Homeopathic and Unani practitioners in dispensing medicines.
- Ensure proper pre- and post-procedure care of patients undergoing AYUSH therapies.
3. Record Keeping and Documentation
- Maintain patient case sheets, treatment charts, and nursing notes accurately.
- Record all treatments, medicines administered, and patient progress.
- Update inventory of drugs, oils, herbs, and medical supplies.
- Ensure safe storage and labeling of AYUSH medications.
4. Administrative and Coordination Roles
- Coordinate with AYUSH doctors, therapists, and hospital administration.
- Participate in health education programs, AYUSH awareness camps, and wellness activities.
- Maintain ward discipline, cleanliness, and infection control measures.
- Report promptly to higher authorities about any emergency, accident, or unusual incident.
5. Emergency and General Nursing Duties
- Provide first aid and emergency care when required.
- Prepare patients for diagnostic tests or procedures.
- Support in public health and preventive medicine programs.
- Ensure adherence to AYUSH hospital policies, protocols, and ethical standards.
6. Education and Training
- Guide and train junior nursing staff and students in AYUSH care.
- Attend workshops, seminars, and continuous nursing education (CNE) programs.
- Stay updated on new AYUSH techniques, herbal formulations, and nursing innovations.
7. Community and Outreach Work
- Participate in community health outreach, wellness camps, and AYUSH promotional programs.
- Educate the public on preventive health practices, yoga, and natural living.
