Staff nurse

The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and hospital policies. The role involves assisting doctors, monitoring patient health, administering medications, and ensuring a safe and clean healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing services.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records.
• Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies.
• Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Handle medical equipment safely and report any malfunction immediately.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the ward/unit.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth patient care.
• Participate in training programs and staff development activities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• GNM / B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with the State Nursing Council.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience (freshers may also apply depending on hospital policy).
• Good communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
• Ability to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends.
