Job Title: GNM Staff Nurse

Experience: 0–2 Years

Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Ward In-Charge

Location: Dehradun, Uttarakhand

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated GNM Staff Nurse with 0–2 years of experience to provide quality nursing care to patients. The candidate will assist in patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and supporting doctors in delivering effective medical care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Patient Care

  • Provide direct bedside nursing care as per treatment plans.
  • Monitor and record vital signs (BP, temperature, pulse, respiration).
  • Assist patients with daily activities (bathing, feeding, mobility).
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene.

2. Clinical Duties

  • Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as prescribed.
  • Perform wound dressing and basic nursing procedures.
  • Assist doctors during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Prepare patients for diagnostic tests and surgeries.

3. Monitoring & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate patient records and nursing notes.
  • Report changes in patient condition promptly to the doctor.
  • Update medication charts and treatment sheets.

4. Infection Control & Safety

  • Follow hospital infection control and safety protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment.
  • Dispose of biomedical waste as per guidelines.

5. Communication & Coordination

  • Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare staff.
  • Educate patients and families about treatment and home care.
  • Provide emotional support to patients and relatives.

Eligibility Criteria

Education

  • Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. (Nursing) from a recognized institute.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with State Nursing Council.

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in hospital/clinical setting.
  • Freshers with internship experience may apply.

Required Skills

  • Basic clinical and patient care knowledge.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in rotational shifts.
  • Basic knowledge of emergency care and first aid.
  • Teamwork and adaptability.

Working Conditions

  • Rotational shifts including night duty.
  • Fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Physically active role requiring long standing hours.

Pay: ₹19,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
