Staff Nurse – IV Drip Home Service

Job Summary

The Staff Nurse – IV Drip Home Service is responsible for providing safe, efficient, and professional IV therapy services at patients’ residences. The role requires expertise in IV cannulation, patient monitoring, emergency response, and compliance with clinical SOPs and regulatory standards of Halcyon Medical Centre.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV cannulation and administer IV drips as prescribed by the attending physician.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs before, during, and after IV infusion.
• Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and informed consent forms.
• Observe patients for adverse reactions and manage emergencies strictly as per approved SOPs.
• Provide immediate first-line clinical response and escalate cases to the on-call doctor when required.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with the on-call doctor and clinical supervisors.
• Ensure adherence to infection control, hygiene, and biomedical waste disposal protocols.
• Educate patients regarding the procedure, aftercare instructions, and safety precautions.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct at all times.
• Comply with Halcyon Medical Centre policies, clinical guidelines, and applicable healthcare regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid PNMC (Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council) License (mandatory).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on IV therapy experience.
• Demonstrated competency in IV cannulation and drip administration.
• Emergency handling certification (preferred).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred/mandatory as per policy).
• Ability to work independently in home-care environments.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Working Conditions

Confidentiality & Compliance

The Staff Nurse shall maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and comply with all applicable healthcare laws, PNMC regulations, and Halcyon Medical Centre internal policies.

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs60,000.00 per month
