Staff Nurse - Male

Carry out the following assigned jobs given by your superior according to your privilege.

CARRYING OUT PATIENT CARE:-

Ø Monitoring the patient daily progress.

Ø Plan and provide the basic care according to the priority needs of the patients

Ø Maintain personal hygiene of the patients.

Ø Administration of medication(IM Injection, IV Injection, oral medication, ryles tube)

Ø IV cannula insertion (IV injection).Start IV fluid via Dig infusa, syringe pump, manual etc

Ø Ryles tube insertion, Ryles tube feeding

Ø Folley’s catheter insertion,

Ø Providing care to the patients

· catheter care,

· perineal care,

· mouth care,

· eye care,

· nail care

· back care

· position changing

· tracheostomy care and suctioning

· according to need of the patient

Ø Monitoring the patient through cardiac monitor, connecting ventilator and monitoring patients.

Ø Assisting for endo tracheal procedure, tracheotomy procedure

Ø Assisting in suturing

Ø Assisting for central line insertion and Assisting for ICD

Ø Gastro jejunostomy feeding

Ø IV parenteral feeding

Ø Minor and major wound dressing

Ø Assisting for application of POP/ traction

Ø Care of patients with traction

Ø Care of Patient with POP

Ø Ensuring physiotherapy of patients

Ø Ensuring proper blood transfusion

Ø Proper shifting of patients from stretcher to bed and vice versa

Handling Medical equipments

o Syringe pump

o Infusion pump

o Defibrillator

o Suction Apparatus

o Pulse oximeter

o Nebulizer

o Cardiac monitor

o Ventilator

DOCUMENTATION:-

· Strictly follows the hospital rules, regulations and policies

· Proper maintenance of case sheets

· Proper documentation of nurses report

· Taking rounds with Doctors and carry out instructions

• Take responsibility of admission and discharge of the patient.
• Daily checking of all the equipments, O2 & Checklist to be maintained
• Checks all drugs and equipments daily and assist in maintaining the inventory and check no expiry or near expiry drugs are exchanged in time
• Getting proper consent from the patient/ patient’s attender

· Verifies that all equipments and alarms are in working condition

• Inform any breakage or damage caused to the equipments

· All files and registers are to be maintained as per policy on daily basis

• Report any incident to the Ward In charge and Nursing Supervisor

ATTENDANCE AND GROOMING:-

• Punctuality should be maintained
• Leaves should be informed in advance
• Coats should be clean and tidy
• Follows proper grooming standards as framed by the Management
• Wears ID card while on duty

COMMUNICATION:-

· Proper handing over should be given to the next shift nurses

• Ensures proper handing and taking over of patients

· Clear and comprehensive in transferring and sharing the information (written & oral) about patients to Doctors and Colleagues

· Maintains good interpersonal relationship with patients, their relatives and hospital staff

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS:-

• Following universal precaution and barrier nursing
• Strictly follow the hand washing techniques
• Strictly avoid wastage of your stationery items in the unit.
• Creates safe environment in the ward
• Report any losses and breakage in the unit without fail
• Assist in maintaining a infection free area by periodic fumigation.

Strictly follow the biomedical waste management procedures.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
