STAFF SERVICES ANALYST – ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES / BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SERVICES / SACRAMENTO


The reporting location for this position is 715 P Street in Sacramento, CA. This position will work under the supervision of Staff Services Manager I.

The Staff Services Analyst will serve as the Commute Coordinator and is responsible for independently performing analytical functions as they pertain to issuing and distributing employee badge identification cards, ensure appropriate security parameters, perform auditing and maintain the database of additions and deletions of active badge IDs. The SSA will spearhead and coordinate multiple programs that provide employees with commuter information, resources or benefits. Responsible for all commuter requests and services for the Sacramento Region including the issuance of Connect Transit Cards and identifying the correct subsidy for employees. Maintains all commute program databases, audit Connect Card usage for compliance, maintains and keeps inventory all accountable documents, develops purchase orders, receipts and vouchers monthly payments in Fi$Cal, reconciles accounts each month, and maintains the database of current users and payments.

Incumbent will also assist with processing daily Facility Services requests, addressing building maintenance issues, coordinating work requests, and follow up conversations. Develop POs, procure supplies, and create payments to vendors. Serve on the Headquarters Emergency Response Team and update the D.A.M. manual chapter 1000- Building Services

Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

This position is designated as telework eligible-office centered.

Working Conditions

All work will be performed at the CNRA Natural Resources Headquarters (HQ) building in Sacramento. Typical work conditions include sitting for long periods of time, typing data into a computer, occasional walking up/downstairs, walking HQ floors, interacting with various staff and occasionally lifting boxes/other items up to 25lbs.

To be appointed you must satisfy one of the following requirements:

  • List Eligibility – Successfully complete the civil service exam for STAFF SERVICES ANALYST. There is currently no open exam for the classification. Check back at a later date here.

In some special circumstances, candidates who meet the Minimum Qualifications for the position, but who do not have one of the types of eligibility listed above, may be hired. However, this is rare, and the preferred method of appointment is through eligibility as described above.
