The Staff Services Manager (SSM) I (Supervisor) oversees a team of hiring consultants, personnel liaisons, and certification support staff, who partner with program on their hiring needs while ensuring lawful hiring practices. In addition, the SSM I (Supervisor) serves as a highly-skilled, independent project lead who researches and develops new and streamlined processes and procedures. This position regularly collaborates with their peer SSM I (Supervisor), departmental customers, and other OHR units to ensure consistent application of processes, effectuate departmental policy changes, provide regular training to personnel liaisons, and improve hiring services.

Working Conditions
This position has been designated as eligible for telework and is currently a remote centered position. The position may however require in-person attendance when requested. The selected candidate would report to Department of Justice headquarters in Sacramento if/when required to attend mandated in-person meetings, trainings, etc. Expenses related to travel to the office for required events are the responsibility of the employee. All telework schedules are subject to change and may be reevaluated at any time.
