Staff Technologist - Chemical Pathology

Job Responsibilities:

• Laboratory Testing & Analysis:

Analyze laboratory findings; perform chemical analysis of blood, urine, and CSF; check accuracy of results; inform concerned clinicians of abnormal values; and ensure proper storage of abnormal samples.

• Instrument Operation & Quality Control:

Calibrate and operate all Biochemistry Lab instruments; run daily quality controls; review LJ plots; run and interpret EQA; and perform method verification and departmental technical tasks as needed.

• Reporting, Documentation & SOP Compliance:

Issue reports; reject tests and samples as per SOP criteria; repeat tests when required; maintain accurate laboratory data; and contribute to documentation and SOP writing.

• Inventory & Analyzer Maintenance:

Manage daily inventory consumption; maintain stock of kits and consumables; perform monthly analyzer maintenance and weekly logs; prepare weekly/monthly indents; and communicate analyzer issues to Biomedical/Engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Qualification: BS - MLT/Biochemistry/Biotechnology
• Experience: 03 to 05 year's experience as a Technologist within Chemical Pathology
• Working Shifts: Rotational (Morning/Evening/Night)
• Location: Korangi Crossing, Karachi
