Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in product design or UX.
Experience in prototyping.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
12 years of experience in product design or UX.
5 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
4 years of experience leading design projects.
3 years of experience working with executive leaders.

You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, to leverage user insights and create industry-leading products.

As a Visual Designer, you will rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution. You will collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $189,000-$274,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Lead the visual strategy and brand identity for AI-native products, ensuring a cohesive but adaptable design language across experimental workstreams.
Help improve model output quality by prompt engineering and applying core visual design principles such as typography, space, layout, and color.
Architect and maintain a visual design system that allows engineering teams to move at startup speeds without sacrificing craft.
Utilize AI-powered design tools to rapidly prototype and iterate on various visual directions, communicating early-stage concepts and user journeys.
