Key Responsibilities

Statutory accounting and Tax compliance

• Responsible for annual audit of Statutory Financials, CIT compliance, VAT compliance and other Direct and Indirect Tax compliance applicable for Turkey

• Establishes (local) policies & procedures for statutory accounting & reporting, including statutory accounts.

• Designs & adjusts statutory processes, procedures, document flow & controls.

• Preparation of statutory financial statements as per local requirements.

• Fulfils requests from regulatory & tax authorities

• Connect with the Financial Controller, Group tax and Indirect tax operations team on any Accounting Operations topics, direct and indirect tax related matters

• Keeps him/herself updated with changes on statutory & tax rules and regulations

Treasury operations

• Timely coordination & execution of all treasury transactions as per instructions received from regional treasury.

• Liaison with banks in Turkey on documentation, KYC and compliance matters.

• Submission of cash flow forecasts for Turkey.

• Monitor bank balances, and support treasury in managing cash position in Turkey.

• Help drive working capital improvement initiatives.

Operational support to Finance Business Partner

• Supporting Finance business partner in financial planning processes (Target setting, quarterly forecast) for Turkey

• Support the commercial team with financial matters (e.g. credit block/release and approval of payment terms) in consultation with the finance business partner, when needed.

• Perform cost monitoring and control.

• Support with the MEC activities (accruals calculation, attend pre MEC and TSR).

• Connect with the Financial Controller on any Accounting Operations topics and where appropriate, ensure input is provided to ensure completeness of External, Statutory reporting and Tax requirements

• 8 or more years of relevant experience

• Education : CPA or Bachelor/Masters degree in Finance & Accounting

• Strong experience in managing Audit and Tax Compliance

• Excellent communication skills
