Job Responsibilities:

• Understand the technical/project specifications.

• Study of connection design drawing and raising RFIs if any mismatch/missing data/conflicts arise.

• Identifying
  Fire Proof
  Members, Architectural Exposed Structural Steel (AESS), Galvanized Members, etc.

• Scope of work to be studied properly and confirmed with client.

• Knowledge in Paint Finish, Material Grade, Bolt Grade and Weld Specifications.

• Ensuring all received inputs are current as per Transmittal Index.

• Checking 3D model in Tekla as per IFC drawing and client specifications.

• Coordination with internal staff (Modeler/Editor) and prepare any RFIs or queries.

• Documentation and tracking of all RFI queries and responses.

• Ensuring all checking comments are being incorporated in the model.

• Ensuring Material grade/Assay Prefix/Part Prefix/Finish/Levels/Thickness/Profiles/Locking dimensions in model are provided as per IFC and its standards.

• Ensuring at modeling stage itself all Erection feasibilities and Transportations issues has been fixed.

• Ensuring Clash check has been done before releasing to production.

• Ensuring custom component or similar macros are being used in model for similar members and its connections to reduce quantities in shop drawings.

• Knowledge in template checking and report preparation with respect to client requirements.

• Checking single part drawings, shop drawings, GA drawings, erection drawings with related reports and NC files.

• Able to do modelling and editing (correction) in case of urgency or project demand.

• Close coordination with Document Controller for uploading/down loading the project data and preparation of transmittal/index.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7 Years’ experience

• Should have sound knowledge in AISC specification like, ASD, RCSC & NISD

• Knowledge in concrete structures, like slab level/depth, expansion joint, reinforcement, composite steel etc.

• Accurate Interpretation of IFC drawings & connection design

• Clarify and answer modeler/detailer queries

• Perform model checks at each stage of the company workflow procedure

• Understand scope of work before project work begins
