Steel Construction Site Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Steel Construction Site Engineer to manage and supervise structural steel construction and erection works at site. The role involves coordinating subcontractors, ensuring safe and accurate erection, and delivering steel works in line with approved drawings, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise structural steel construction and erection activities at site
• Manage and coordinate steel erection subcontractors and site crews
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and specifications
• Monitor erection sequence, alignment, leveling, bolting, and welding works
• Coordinate with fabrication, engineering, and logistics teams for timely material delivery
• Oversee crane operations, lifting plans, and erection safety procedures
• Conduct site inspections and coordinate with consultants and main contractors for approvals
• Track daily progress, manpower, and equipment utilization
• Prepare daily/weekly site reports and progress updates
• Identify site issues and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and quality
• Ensure strict compliance with HSE regulations and site safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s / Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / Structural Engineering
• Minimum 4–7 years of experience in structural steel construction and erection
• Proven experience handling steel erection subcontractors
• Strong knowledge of steel construction methods, connections, and site execution
• Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, erection drawings, and specifications
• Experience with bolting, welding, alignment, and leveling inspections
• Familiarity with cranes, lifting equipment, and site coordination
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience in industrial buildings, warehouses, PEB projects, and heavy steel structures
• Exposure to UAE / GCC construction standards and site practices
